restless brown spirits traipse
over ground frozen gray
tend your fires
pull the flames
snowdrops pop
at your command

winter rises and rolls
as spring pushes
seasons yearn
wheel turns

Hail Brigid
Hail Morn!

I like the first stanza especially. Why specifically 'brown' spirits?

Thanks! Brown because it felt like a good color for the feeling of the poem. Because so many picture spirits wispy white (or I simply imagine they do). It was the color that popped into my head as the "right" one quite possibly because brown is my color this week for the color immersion exercises.

It was a good touch, definitely set it apart from the usual wispy-type spirits. Made me think of autumn leaves.
