Gratitude Project 2008

Today I am grateful for kielbasa cooked in beer with brown sugar! Yum! And for right now, this second - my fever is broken. May it not return!

Explain the food or the fever? :P~

Buy keilbasa (or whatever type of precooked sausage thingie you like). Cut in pieces, wee round ones, 1/2" to 1" thick. Toss in a slow cooker with a bottle of beer (open and pour first) and add brown sugar. Um, no, we don't measure. I think I dumped about 1/3 cup brown sugar to the one bottle of beer, to the one package of keilbasa. Cook on low all damn day. If you 1/2 day cook on high for at least 4 hours then trun down, but it will get dark brown on you.

Sounds Amazing - do you serve it with anything special?

Ha! The tailgaters serve it with turduckin! hahahahaha

Um, I just made buttered noodles and green beans. I often do bland sides to offset spicy or sweet and this was sweet, but yummy as hell. I bet hot sausage would be good with beer and brown sugar come to think of it. Hhhmmmmm ...
