Gratitude Project 2008

I left a sink of dishes when I left for work. I had the water drawn and bubbled with washing liquid and then choked madly when I took my Motrin. Love how I cannot swallow pills at my age ~ just hook me up to the morphine drip, damnit. Coughcoughcoughcoughcoughspuutercoughdie for five minutes. Then five minutes of sneezing. No, I do not know why when I cough from something trying to float to my lungs instead of my stomach, but every time it is coughcoughcoughsneezesneeze. You have no idea how lovely a partially dissolved Motrin feels right at the top of the windpipe. Think battery acid, with pins.

So ... I was a minute late for work, which is really about 11 minutes late since I was the opener. And the dishes sat. Water cold and showing no signs of bubbly goodness in rather a short period of time is my guess. Reach in that lovely puddle and swish around for the drain plug to refill and wash properly. And the hubster? Just did it. Not a word, not a question as to why. Just done when I came home from work. I am grateful for that. :-)

somebody washing the wares for you is always nice

the amount of pills i take, after a while my body gets tired and doesn't want to swallow
one of my anti-anxiety meds---kept happening and it tasted horrible and would make me throw up
i asked him to change it...change it to at least something that tastes better
at least the new tablet does taste sweeter

i got pain killers beginning of this year for a bad bad infection...i had to make a suspension and drink it
i never could...it'd sit in my mouth and then it'd come back up

i hate pills
i take too many

I've never been able to swallow pills without first shoving them halfway down my throat. This morning I used too little water - such a dumbshit. My mum? Could take them WITHOUT water. Insane.

We used to put Kev's in a spoonful of baby food. That I could do - pure jelly gives me the shivers! lol I keep telling myself I'll learn someday how to toss a pill in my mouth, chase it with water, and not have my throat close. I think I am lying to myself!

i take them without water
so does my sister
i could never figure out what to do with the water
you know, i just stick the pill as far back as it will go and swallow
but water...waht? is it supposed to swish the pill around? what? i don't know!

You're supposed to just the thing in your mouth, it sits on your tongue, until you toss water in after. I think theory is the pill floats a bit and you swallow and it goes down the water. Pills stick to my tongue. It doesn't work. So I shove it halfway down my throat, too, then drink the water. They stick in my throat, too.

but if i put it on my tongue and then put water in my mouth it'll swim around
so i swallow and im sure the water alone will be swallowed (if i'm so lucky) and tablet...well there's nothing making the tablet go down unless i stick it down my throat...

and i can't do that with a wet tablet!

LOL You and I take pills the same way, except I add water when it is halfway down otherwise it sticks in my throat!
