A busy yet delightful 24 hours

I got a bee in my bonnet Friday night that since the hubster was off today (Monday) he and I should do a quick overnight getaway just because he had 2 days off together instead of the usual Friday and Sunday off. I web surfed and Googled and came up with a plan. So yesterday after the Steeler game we took off for an overnight at Mt. Summit Inn. I had been there as a child and the grandeur I remembered was only slightly less grand. Seeing as how I am grown now the scale difference is understandable.

Last night we went to Bowman's Castle for the ghost tour. That was interesting and the paranormal investigator at the end with the slideshow was pretty sweet. Then today we took the tour through Laurel Caverns and the off to see Fallingwater, with a quick pitstop at the rapids of Ohiopyle. The hubster has lived in this area his whole life and he had visited none of these so it was time to set that right.

It was a lovely wee getaway and I'm so glad we did it.
