Facebook is awesome

You learn things you'd have to wait hours to learn without it - even about people who live in your own house. I went to bed early last night, before my son got back home from being out at the movies with his girlfriend. I open up FB this morning and what do I see on my home page but a status update from him from 7 hours ago:

dear asshole(s) who ran on top of my car in the maxisaver parking lot, and then preceded to harass my girlfriend and i,

i hope your tough guy act works on the police who will be showing up at your door.

sincerely, kevin.

Nice. He won't be awake for hours to come, so I wait ... and wonder. He is 19. I know I cannot protect him all the time ~ hell, I leaned that with the first kid almost as soon as she started crawling. But still .... ~sigh~

I refrained from replying with a comment correcting his grammar. It's funny where the mind goes sometimes when it leaps to panic.

Yeah, this is a tough bit to reconcile as they get older. Zach rarely posts, but I essentially have a picture window into Taryn's life - and the pictures aren't always pretty.

So, I vacillate between "At least I know what's going on" and "Do I really need to know *everything* that's going on?"

LOL Kevin knows how to hide posts from em he doesn't wish for me to see. :P~ He said he was surprised I had gone to bed already as he was ready to recount his tale.
